Getting ready and prepped for a scrapping good time

After the mad rush of Christmas and after making many many cards I kind of lost my inspiration to create for the past couple of months.  Thanks to a request from a friend I found my inspiration again.  Her request:  A card for her brother's wedding which is happening in Vegas and the wedding them is red/black/zebra.  FUN!!!!!  So I found the zebra paper and off I went from there.  That is what get's me inspired .. a piece of paper and a idea.  How lucky am I?  This afternoon I watched Tim Holtz sell his heart out at QVC-UK ..my first experience at seeing him live.  It was great to see him in action.  Seeing him use all the products gave me some great idea's for my scrap weekend coming up.  I CAN'T WAIT!  3 days of uninterrupted scrapping and visiting with friends/family.  Did I mention that we get fed too and the food is soo good.  I can scrap 24 hours a day if I want to but that's not what it's all about .. I mean I do need to sleep too I guess :)  So as I prep for that I am reminded just how difficult it is to bring everything with me.  I mean what if I need that little thing at some point or that other thing at some point.  Where do you draw the line at what to bring and what not to bring.  So my thoughts revert to .. what do I bring that will inspire me?  Well as I said previously it sometimes just takes a piece of paper and an idea.  So my focus is on the paper as my main thing to bring.  Sure I could bring every sticker/punch/stamp that I own but would I end up using them all? ... No, so sometimes you just have to make do with what you have.  Dig a little deeper into that inspirational space inside of you and see how far that one piece of paper can take you.  So as I start to pack this week my goal is to eliminate half of what I was going to bring as I go.  Good luck to me :)  Each time I say to myself .. "Ya but" I am going to say to myself again "do I really need that to achieve my goal?"  My goal .. to have some me time, some friend time, some family time and some creative time.  That's all I ask of myself.
